The AVL Supervisor plays a pivotal operational leadership role in ensuring Bus Éireann delivers safe, reliable, and high-quality bus and coach services through effective use of Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) systems. Based within the Control Centre, this role is responsible for supervising live operations, managing incidents, and optimising service performance across the network.

This is an excellent opportunity for operational staff to progress into a specialist supervisory role that directly influences service quality, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. The position offers the opportunity to deepen technical expertise in real-time operations management, strengthen analytical and decision-making skills, and contribute to continuous service improvement. You will lead by example in promoting high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service. Acting as both a controller and coordinator, you will support drivers, depots, and maintenance teams to ensure efficient and compliant service delivery.

The successful candidate will report to the AVL Control Centre Manager and work closely with AVL Support Assistants, Service Supervisors, Depot Management, Maintenance Teams, and Operations Management. The role requires strong coordination, clear communication, and a proactive approach to managing performance and operational risks.
