This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of Bus Éireann’s corporate communications and media strategy. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs and Communications it includes the management of a high-performance press and corporate communications office function. It is also the primary point of coordination for all Bus Éireann media relations and sets the standards and approach to be taken in this area. The role holder will have responsibility for managing Bus Éireann’s reactive communications with political, media and other local and national stakeholders, and will work with the Head of Corporate Affairs and Communications in the development of its proactive external engagement strategy.

Bus Éireann is one of Ireland’s largest transport operators, facilitating over one hundred million passenger journeys annually across Public Service Obligation (four cities, six towns, rural and commuter services), Expressway commercial intercity and Europe’s largest school transport scheme. The Corporate Affairs and Communications team has responsibility across all of Bus Éireann activities including commercial, public service obligation, Schools Transport, public affairs, sustainability and corporate reputation management.
