As a core member of the central Technical Department, the Technical Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the effective operation and continuous improvement of Bus Éireann’s vehicle fleet.

This position involves a broad range of responsibilities, including technical support for fleet vehicles, engineering problem-solving, collaboration with vehicle and parts suppliers, and providing technical guidance to maintenance, procurement, and other key business functions. The role requires a high level of technical expertise, practical engineering knowledge, and effective cross-functional communication.

This position reports to the Technical Manager within the Head of Engineering Department at Bus Éireann.

Candidates should hold a qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, preferably at NFQ Level 8. However, applicants with a Level 7 qualification and relevant industry experience will also be considered.
